Hello! I am a 20 year old Material Science student at ETH Zurich in Switzerland. While living in the U.S. as a child, I fell in love with this country. It's incredible diversity in people, places, natural beauty and adventurous opportunities have long intrigued me, and for many years, I have been wanting to come back and discover more. I finally got this opportunity in the form of an exchange semester at the University of Pennsylvania, and I am happy to say that I have made the most of it. Now, I have the opportunity to travel for 5 weeks before classes start again back in Switzerland. I am incredibly excited to see where this journey will take me!

For one, I find the personal experience of Couchsurfing very rewarding. The travel experience, to me, feels so much more genuine and interesting when I have the opportunity to meet and talk to local people (rather than staying at virtually the same chain hotel room every night).

Additionally, I am a student with a limited travel budget and I truly appreciate people opening their doors and supporting travelers like myself!

Spending time immersed in other cultures has not only shown me artifacts, but has given me many memorable insights about life itself.
