Overview
About Me
I’m from Liverpool, a city I love just as much as I love traveling. I’ve been fortunate enough to visit many countries, with Colombia and South Korea being some of my favorites. Along the way, I’ve made amazing friends in both Bogotá and Seoul—some of whom have even come to visit me in Liverpool! Now, I want to keep expanding my horizons, meeting new people, and sharing experiences.
Football is a huge part of my life—I go to every Liverpool home match at Anfield, and I’m always up for talking about the game (or even watching one together if the timing’s right!). When I’m not at the stadium, you’ll probably find me at the gym, out for a walk with my dog, or having a drink with friends.
I speak English and a decent amount of Spanish, and I’m also learning Korean. I’d say I’m an enthusiastic, confident, and empathetic person who enjoys meeting new people and sharing good conversations. If you’re up for a chat about travel, football, or just life in general, I’d love to connect! Instagram - Lukehall.19Lfc
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I want to meet amazing new people and make more friends, just like I have in South Korea and Colombia. Couchsurfing is full of open-minded, outgoing people who love meeting others, and that’s exactly the kind of experience I’m looking for.
For me, traveling isn’t just about seeing new places—it’s about understanding different cultures and connecting with interesting people along the way. I truly believe that you can learn something new from every person you meet, and that’s what makes this journey so exciting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a huge fan of Oasis (I’m actually going to see them live next year, and I’m super excited!). I also love The Verve, Pink Floyd, Travis, James, Jamie Webster, and The Doors. Aside from that, I’m really into ‘90s trance and techno—it’s always great for getting lost in the music.
When it comes to books, my favorite is The Fifth Agreement by Miguel Ruiz, and I enjoy reading about philosophy in general.
For movies, I like ghost horror films, but I actually prefer binge-watching Netflix shows. Squid Game was amazing, and there are some great English ones too, like The Stranger and Stay Close.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Back in February 2020, I was walking through Chapinero in Bogotá with my Colombian friend José when we passed a homeless man sitting outside an Éxito supermarket with his dog. Seeing them there really got to me, so I decided to go inside and buy 80,000 pesos (about $20) worth of dog food for his dog. On top of that, I gave the man 250,000 pesos (around $60). He started crying and kept saying, “Gracias” over and over.
José looked at me like I was crazy, but for me, it wasn’t about doing something extraordinary—it was just about human compassion. I believe that if more of us helped others in real need, even in small ways, the world would be a much better place.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love having deep philosophical conversations, but what I enjoy even more is learning about different cultures. Most of my friends are from Colombia, and through them, I’ve come to appreciate the fascinating differences between cultures—that’s a big part of why I love traveling.
What I can teach? I can talk endlessly about football, especially Liverpool FC, and I’d love to share what life is like in the UK. But just as much as I love sharing, I also want to learn—about your country, your experiences, and even some of your language. For me, the best connections come from exchanging stories and perspectives.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I’m not just looking for a place to stay—I’m looking to make lifelong friends. I can chat with you for hours about football, music, or philosophy, and I’d love to share stories about the different cultures I’ve experienced on my travels.
More than anything, it’s about building a real connection. If you ever visit Liverpool, you’ll already have a friend there—and I’ll make sure you get to experience Anfield with a ticket to see Liverpool FC live!
