About Me
Hello!
Professionally, I'm a web developer. I've been running a studio with two friends for a couple of years now. We've got an cool little office in Cambridge's Harvard Square.
If you're traveling through Cambridge and send me a message I'd be happy to grab some food/beer nearby! Harvard Square has several great bars/restaurants (Charlie's Kitchen is my favorite, check out their patio beer garden).
Personally, I really enjoy photography, motorcycling, motorcycle travel, hiking and camping. I've recently started to photographically document my trips/adventures here: http://stories.lukepeters.me
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm going to be doing a 2 week motorcycle trip in October 2016 and want to meet and stay with actual locals and really experience the places I stay (versus eating dinner alone every night while staying at a hotel, which is my fear).
Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Matisyahu, ODESZA, and a lot of similar artists (I mainly listen to these two stations on Pandora).
Movies: The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, Braveheart, One Week, many others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Arrived at a mountain in New Hampshire at 5:30am in October while it was still pitch black outside (with a cold, howling wind) and climbed it, mostly in darkness. We cooked breakfast up on a ledge just after sunrise and then searched for (and found) a hidden cave on the side of the mountain.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach the basics of photography - the camera and it's key controls, as well as general framing/composition stuff.
I'd like to learn any neat survival skills/hacks/tricks and the dos/don'ts of, and tips regarding, travel and couchsurfing.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I'm a web developer, so I can help you with your website/blog if you're stuck on something or wondering how to go about setting one up, etc.
