About Me

Seeing and discovering new places and experiences are what makes this life interesting. I love meeting like minded people and creating new memories to add to this story called life. Stuff I really love include food, the outdoors so that means beaches and mountains and forests and jungles and desserts and pretty much anything to do with nature.
I'm lucky enough to get to travel the world in my profession. Working as a chef aboard super yachts allows me to see places I'd never dreamed of and best of all, I'm not having to pay for flights or accomodation. My "house" floats around the world!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'd like to meet cool people who will let me stay at their place so I don't have to arrive at a hostel/backpackers/hotel only to discover that their idea of "clean" seems to mean you will share your bed with numerous wildlife from insects to rodents and have to keep a towel at the foot of your bed in order to wipe whatever your feet have picked up off the floor before you can climb into it.

Music, Movies, and Books

Such a varied taste in these things. I really enjoy some electronic such as deep house. For lyrical content I enjoy hip hop but NOT the stuff that some people think is hip hop that's played on the radio. I love any movies by Guy Ritchie or Quentin Tarentino. The Godfather, Scarface, Goodfellas, The Hobbit and Lord of the Rings, anything with Will Farrel although I thought anchorman 2 was a bit shit.
Books-The Hobbit, Life of Pi, Anything by Paulo Coelho, The Prophet, Game of Thrones, Ender novels

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Tubing through the underground Waitomo Caves in New Zealand to see the constellations of glow worms that are scattered across the ceiling looking like the most beautiful starry night was definitely way up there

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bermuda, Egypt, England, France, Gibraltar, Ireland, Italy, Lesotho, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Mozambique, Northern Ireland, Scotland, Thailand, United States
