Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined couch surfing because I want to travel the world and see how local people live, learn about their culture and have a network of friends abroad. I love meeting new people and would be happy to have people at my home to show them around London, and do likewise in your home city. I am friendly, outgoing, laid-back and always up for having fun.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favourite music: I am a huge Beyoncé fan, I still love the music I grew up with. Pop music, Lady Gaga and Britney Spears. Janelle Monae, Christine and the Queens. Also love alt rock, Smashing Pumpkins, MBV, Nine Inch Nails, MBV, Alice in Chains etc. I enjoy listening to film soundtracks, such as, The Lord of the Rings and Amélie. I’m also a fan of French music, especially French pop and electronic music. A bit of everything really.
Favourite books: anything by Charles Dickens; I love Great Expectations, Bleak House and David Copperfield etc. I love the classics; Hemingway, Zola, the Brontes, Orwell, Austen etc. The Harry Potter séries, Lord of the Rings, Sherlock Holmes. Quite into travel books at the moment.
Favourite Movies: Amélie, Inception, Call me by your name, The Departed, Scindlers List, Spotlight, The Good, the bad and the ugly. I love bizarre indie French movies like Climax, la pianiste, l’inconnu du lac etc. Jean de Florette and Manon des sources are also amazing.
Favourite TV is forever and always Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have done extra work for Game of Thrones
Travelled America’s Route 66, driving from Chicago to Santa Monica pier.
Worked a summer in France to improve my French.
Paragliding in Colombia.
Mezcal tasting in Oaxaca was a fun one.
Island hopping in beautiful Greece.
Wine tasting in Italy.

I would be happy to help people practise their English and I would love the opportunity to practise my French for those French speakers out there. French is good enough to help beginners. Also learning Spanish so Spanish speakers very welcome.
