ABOUT ME

I'm a 31 year old male. I have lived around the world; I lived 7 years in Japan. I feel more of a kinship to humanity than patriotic to a particular country.

My personality type is INFP. I feel strongly introverted, curious, and childlike. I also believe I'm dyslexic. I do well in learning environments.

PHILOSOPHY

Trust my instinct.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

“Prof Wick, I would like to go on the summer study abroad in Wales.” I say
“Great! Give your application to Joy.” he says.

At a Welsh castle ruin, a nubile girl puts on a watch.

“New watch?” I say
“Yes.” she says

We make a quiche together before she bids me adieu.

“Come to Marseille.” she says.
"How do I reach you?" I say.
"Here's my email." she says.

I take the Eurostar to Paris. Outside my hostel, I approach a middle aged man with an aristocratic air, common in most europeans.

“Excuse me, do you speak English?” I say "I'm looking for an internet cafe."
“Do you NOT speak any French?” he says.
“No” I say
“Do you speak any foreign languages?” he says
“No” I say
"American?” he says

11 years later, I approach my boss; I work as a warehouse manager in Tokyo.

"Sumimasen." I say in polite Japanese. "Can I bother you for a second?"
"ii yo." he says.
"I would like to tender my resignation." I say.
"Are you SURE about this?" he says
"Yes." I say

The airport bus moans by the wide green moat of the Emperor's Palace; I feel if I ever met that Frenchman again, I would defiantly tell him:

"I speak a foreign language!"
