About Me
Hi my name is Luke :)
I am 32. I am a strong advocate of healthy living with a very positive outlook on life. I love meeting new people and listening to their stories.
At home in Tamworth (Country town - in Northern, NSW) I work for a not for profit organisation as a Community Engagement Coordinator for a Cancer Organisation.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Simply to meet as many amazing people as I possibly can. What makes a great holiday/travel experience for me is connecting with strangers and learning about their perspective on why they do what they do and why they love their country.
Interests
I love music - I have been a dj/producer for over 10 years and love working with found sounds and unique recordings
Health - Both physical and mental. I will play any sport both team or individual. I enjoy running and hiking. Would love to get involved with extra yoga and meditation sessions each week too.
Volunteering - I love being able to give back to the community in anyway I can. Most recently a few friends and I established a program to help disadvantaged kids learn simple business ideas.
Travel - I think it goes without saying that this is a must in anyones life. Just broadens both the soul and the mind.
Environment - Strong advocate of better recycling system and keeping our planet healthy and clean.

Music, Movies, and Books
I have quite a broad taste in music. I have a huge passion for percussion and would love to learn to play the drums.
My dj sets are quite eclectic. I will try and blend/chop and mix anything from Bowie and Fleetwood to more modern work from Foals and the Killers.
I love to watch independent films. Those little niche ones that come out weekly on Apple movies :)
Books - I really need to read more. Currently reading Zen and the art of Motorcycle Maintenance
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I have ever done for myself was travelling to Guatemala 2 years ago. The experience changed my whole life.
Teach, Learn, Share
I consider myself a bit of a jack of all trades - master at none.
I would love to collaborate with other artists on projects.
Share my knowledge of Mexican cooking and help create more efficient recycling systems in peoples homes.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to help out in anyway I can. Cooking, cleaning, dog walking, etc.
I would like to think that I could share my positive attitude and help brighten someones day :)
