About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Finding my place in life, doing what I enjoy doing and not following the well worn path of conformity. Meeting people, exploring, climbing higher with less negative impact and more positive impact.

ABOUT ME

Its all about Experience, low impact high value. I was born in Namibia, South West Africa, my parents were working for VSO. I have grown up on a sustainable small holding near nottingham, a little piece of paradise, woods, lake, homegrown food and playground for the young imagination.

I am passionate about rock climbing and the environment. I compete internationally at rock climbing and have been to many places with this past time. I love growing food, cooking, cider and red wine. I love hearing other peoples stories and seeing new places. I don't know what life is all about tend spend a lot of time wondering and trying out new ways of living life. I want to travel the world and life without negative impact on other people. I am easy to get along with, interested in everything but also self contented and quite.

PHILOSOPHY

I try and remember how infinitely amazing life is, from the smallest to the biggest, every experience is part of the future evolving into something new. This kind of thinking can create ecstasy or overpower you so to avoid being consumed by this I am slowly constructing my own ethics. I avoid animal products where possible although not very strictly yet, I try and keep on top of our animalistic instinct of indulgence with the luxuries like sugar, caffein and other altering substances that are I have found easily habituated. However life for me is about being content and this includes socialising and appreciating all the amazing things there are in life so I find my approach to my ethics is quite flexible. We have to always be swear of our impact but also having a good time is how we let the world impact on us so we can enjoy this also!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am currently in limbo between living in University halls, home in Nottingham and renting a house in Leeds with a bunch of climbers. From september we will definitely have a friendly couch to inhabit in Leeds, I can't wait to be a host.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

New to this awesome site! I have however slept on many a couch around Great Britain. Most recent couches were traveling to and back from Moscow by train in the form of station benches and train seats, I can cope with little comforts but this was quite hard!

Teach, Learn, Share

I have run many workshops on circus skills such as poi and juggling and love to teach these things and to perform with fire. Gardening is something I have done all my life, more than happy to help
/ share what knowledge I have on growing food maintaining land.
It is my ambition to learn a language, I have a small amount of german and a tinnier amount of spanish/french but would love to earn more. Other than this I would love to learn almost everything from a new skill to the local party technique, to a new way of thinking, bring it on!
