ABOUT ME

The Pacific Northwest is my emotional home after 8 years in Vancouver, Canada. I love discovering the hidden layers that I usually fail to perceive: history, ecology, the subtleties of language, bird-song... Biology is my major; I geek out about fish, nudibranchs, trees, herbs; all kinds of whacky living things. I like meeting people and hearing their stories.

Surfed in Madrid and Hamburg; amazing times and a great way to travel.

Interests

Consuming good things: sourdough bread, good beer, coffee. Cycling, hiking, sailing, swimming in the ocean (or a pool, if it's December). I love good conversations, walking a street you've never been down before, taking a new train, or a new plane. Finishing a book that makes you think in a new way.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Canoeing with five friends at Galiano Island under a full moon, with bio-luminescence that I can only describe as... magic galaxies swirling at stern and under each paddle stroke!
