ABOUT ME

I am a friendly, fun-loving, 25 year old guy, currently traveling through Europe on holiday. I love the outdoors, and spend as much time as possible exploring nature. I like to snowboard, wakeboard, surf, kayak, and swim. I studied philosophy at university and enjoy having deep conversations about life, art, politics and society, the mind and existence. I love to garden, and put a lot of effort into growing good organic fruits and veggies. I don't eat meat (except fish on occasion) because I love animals and don't like corporate meat industries. I'm on an adventure called life!

PHILOSOPHY

I worship the sun! Being in nature is how I connect with the spirit of the universe. I believe in being kind, repsectful, and giving to everyone, and I expect the same in return. The more I learn the more I realize I don't know, and I am not aftaid to challenge myself by breaking paradigms in my own worldview.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to Couchsurfing, but have heard good things from friends who use the site so I figure I'll give it a try as I travel across Europe! I'm hoping to make new friends and explore new cities.

Music, Movies, and Books

I live for music! I play guitar and piano, and have played in bands in the past. I like rock, indie, alternative, electronica, dubstep, hip hop, bluegrass, folk-rock...I'm pretty open to any kind of music, if it gets my foot tapping! Anything with a deep beat gets me moving too.
Right now I'm listening to:
Imagine Dragons, Radiohead, Avichii, Daft Punk, Alt-J, Wilco...
I don't read as much as I used to, but I like philosophy books, science fiction, historical fiction, and action thrillers.
Right now I'm reading "People Over Profit" by Noam Chomsky

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The highlight from my past year was surfing an snowboarding both within 24 hours! Gotta love living in California :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I am certified as a teacher of Logic and Critical Thinking, and I am also certified as a level 2 Snowboard Instructor. I have great experience gardening and growing plants, and I used to give guitar lessons to beginners.
I am interested in learning new languages! Any help is greatly appreciated.
