About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To meet 100 nationalities by travelling i'm up to 73!
ABOUT ME
I'm 30, I'm an Engineer doing various projects. I spent 4 years travelling the world. 6 months in Africa, 2 years in New Zealand, 1 year in Oz and about half a year in Asia. I've been involved in Occupy London, where I lived for 5 months outside St Paul's. The last 3 years I've been reopening empty spaces and turning them in2 community spaces and studying Public Policy @ uni.
PHILOSOPHY
Positive thinking. The universe, can be kind, can be cruel but never is it predetermined. Live your life, you want something go get it. You wanna do something go do it. Dream pah, ACT :-P.
Jail the bankers. Only joking, no seriously why is it not okay to jail the bastards. I do think we've reached the end of the road of what Tories call 'free' market capitalism. We need more co-operatives.
We need more transparency, more people power, better ways of doing things, enacting new thoughts/ideas/philosophies. Investment in our society, people, infrastructure, libraries, energy. and we need a colony on the moon so I can Occupy it :-D
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm a big believer in co-operatives and people sharing what they have. So i love the idea of couch surfing. I've been hosting various people surfers, activists and friends in various building/squats and the like over last 3 years. The Sharing Economy is the future. For our souls and spirits if nothing else. Give stuff today to your friends, to lovely people to strangers and watch the love and universe flow back with positive energy.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a fair few people now. I still haven't surfed a huge amount myself but hopefully building up credit by hosting. My first couch surfer is still my favorite, a lovely guy from the Netherlands :-). Jumped straight in and helped, as we were putting on a Cabaret and he even caught the eye of a Burlesque dancer!!
Interests
Traveling, hitchhiking etc. I'm also an activist, being involved in Occupy London and reopening via occupying a closed due to the cuts, Library.
Putting on Shows "Cabaret of the Gods" monthly & Performing Burlesque/Boylesque/Thorlesque & Comedy.
My dream is to visit every continent and hopefully every country but that's probably not affordable unless I can come up with some money making scheme that would make it possible. I love film and comedy festivals and am looking forward to the fringe in Edinburgh.

Music, Movies, and Books
Philip K Dick is my favorite author, I love speculative fiction. Ian M Banks, Alistair Reynolds, Alfred Bester, Kurt Vonnegut, JRR Tolkien, Douglas Adams, Stephen Donaldson (Gap series)), Asimov, Orwell, HG Wells, Nietzsche.
Cabaret Roulette. One of my fav ongoing Cabarets in London.
Sci Fi films like Donnie Darko, Eternal Sunshine Spotless Mind, Dune, Looper, Dark City, Children of Men, Starman (Bowie), Gattaca, Pi (Aronofsky), Solaris, Soylent Green, Moon, Brazil (Gilliam)
Sci Documentaries like Thrive, Silent Spectrum, FANomenon, Electric Mind.
SF can be ground breaking, truly thought invoking and fracking weird at times!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lived in/Occupied/Saved a local library via Occupying it for 5 months.
Visiting Africa for 6 months, 14 countries, my first big trip and really got the travel bug and haven't stopped since. Just the culture and the people, some of the most amazing people you'll ever meet, some who have nothing and will give you the shirt of their back.
Zimbabwe especially the people their were amazing.
New Zealand, i love it their and will probably retire their someday, just the adrenaline and quality of life. EVERY beach has a BBQ and for 2 months I lived on this remote beach, surf casting every day and me and my mate living off snapper, heaven!
Teach, Learn, Share
Showing people how they can Reclaim Their Power. Whether Occupying, Reopening old buildings, hosting events, putting on workshops and protesting/mrching till the bastards listen.
