About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Hold on a second... I'm going to try something a little crazy.
ABOUT ME
I'm pretty easy-going; always looking for a good time. Still, some of my favorite times carry a serious tone. I especially love conversations about the world and it's peoples.
I try to be a student at all times. I'll wager you know a great deal about many things of which I know very little. I'm hoping to learn from you.
I am always trying to stay in the moment. This has proven to be a more difficult endeavor than I had originally thought. However, I have never regretted a decision to go with the flow.
PHILOSOPHY
Strive to become the best person you can. Know that progress is always a possibility.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I like to surf when I travel and I'm starting to crack into the hosting side of things.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Some of my most memorable experiences stem from the people I've met while traveling or hosting travelers. Invariably, the adventures and conversations I had with these strangers were some of the most entertaining of my life, and have given me a much more well rounded perspective.
Interests
Medicine: I am currently applying to Medical School!
Wilderness: I am constantly led to the outdoors--backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, fly-fishing, sailing, anything.
Literature: If you have a book that has changed the way you perceive the world, I'd love to know about it. If you're on the same page, look into some of the books I've listed further on.
Music: I grew up playing double bass in the orchestra, studied for a while at the university, and then retired music to an area of personal pleasure. Almost any groove gets me going, but more than anything I love a piece to surprise me.
Good Conversation: Tell me your story, and listen to mine. We can keep it light and entertaining or delve into those places people are afraid to talk about.
Sport: From Futbol to Football to Chess to any competition in which I can partake. Exercise is key.
Fun: "I'm here for a good time, not a long time."

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Some favorites include films by Quentin Tarantino, Martin Scorsese, Guy Ritchie, The Big Lebowski, etc.
Music: I love music, and am always excited to be shown new bands and genres. I've a few gems to hand out as well, if you're interested.
Books: On The Road by Jack Kerouac, Letters from the Earth by Mark Twain, The Moral Animal by Robert Wright, Dune by Frank Herbert, Cat's Cradle by Kurt Vonnegut, Open Veins of Latin America by Eduardo Galeano, Infections and Inequalities by Paul Farmer... Anything that makes me laugh or think.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
To choose a single event is challenging. However, when I was young--nine years old or so--my family sold everything we owned and traveled the western United States of America in a motorhome for a year. The events are too numerous to list in such short detail. Simply said, it was a defining time in my life.
Teach, Learn, Share
Jack of many trades, master of none.
Backpacking, climbing, music, carpentry, biology, snowsports, etc.
Life is learning, and I try to capitalize on that, so anything you have to say or teach excites me.
