Overview
About Me
In 2019 I quit my job as an art teacher in Tasmania, Australia to work full time on various art projects in Europe.
I generally love most things in the outdoors - bushwalking, surfing, exploring. I also enjoy relaxing by creating art, listening to and making music and learning through conversation.
To see more about to work I am creating this year as I travel you can visit my website:

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a host - I hope to bring some interesting people in to my life, to enjoy their company, hear interesting stories and help set them on their way in Tasmania. Tasmania can be difficult to get around and know where to go, so I can offer advice and point you in the right direction.
As couch surfer - I look forward to be welcomed in to someone else's world, via their couch. I believe that every place whether it has many attractions or seemingly none, has a huge population or a small one - the most valuable and interesting thing is the people living there. I love meeting people and hearing their experiences of a place. These are not always stories that tell of an idyllic or beautiful situation, but they are very honest and authentic. I find this experience very fulfilling and love to explore and understand a place through this type of story sharing.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: this changes too frequently to bother putting in but would very much like to discuss and show you want I am in to at the time!
MOVIES: I like a whole mix, from Hollywood to Arthouse. I love to watch a movie and discuss it afterwards!
BOOKS: Anything which inspires a sense of adventure, or provides an interesting insight into society or the human condition. I'm currently reading 'Sapiens' by Yuval Noah Harari and very much enjoying it.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Rafted the Franklin River in the South-West of Tasmania. Look at some of the images, it's an amazing place!

What I Can Share with Hosts
I would love to share a conversation/help you with any of the things I am passionate about. I would love to pass my knowledge on to someone who is willing to learn. I am a teacher by education, and this sense of shared learning is something which drives me.
