ABOUT ME

I'm a public health and medical student at U Toledo. I finished my BS in history and evolutionary psychology in the summer of 2007. I lived in co-ops for my last two years there and loved it. I tend to be fairly quiet, but really enjoy one on one conversation and meeting new people from all different backgrounds. I tend to be fairly far towards the left/progressive end of the political spectrum, but would happily host or stay with those who aren't.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm a secular humanist, which Vonnegut described (approx.) as the belief that we should behave decently towards each other with no expectation of reward or punishment. I tend to view everything from a scientific perspective, which bothers some people, but I feel that it is the only way to make sense of ourselves and our environment.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd be happy to host people who are respectful and aren't total slobs. I'd also enjoy meeting up with other couch surfers for drinks if they're passing through Toledo. Hopefully I'll be able to take advantage of someone's couch while traveling in the future.
