ABOUT ME

I'm Luke! I've lived and worked in Mackay for more than 8 years now. I've done a bit of traveling over the years including Japan, Hawaii, South East Asia, Europe and Russia. I'm always looking at where I want to visit next, probably somewhere with good hiking!

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. It was on a shirt I owned as a kid... Wile E Coyote playing basketball, and I always liked it.

Por que estou no Couchsurfing?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have a house which I share with my housemates. I have spare bedrooms which I'm happy to share. So people traveling solo or in small groups are very welcome. I am in the process of downsizing however so only have camping mattresses and couches available. Though I don't have internet at my home so if you, don't expect a wifi password as there isn't one :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been in the couchsurfing world for over 3 years now. A friend of mine in Vienna recommended it as a great way to meet people. I have a house in Mackay which I'm slowly renovating, but I have spare bedrooms and more than happy to help out fellow travelers passing through town. Perhaps on my future travels you can return the favour!

Interesses

Obviously travel! I do it as often as I can! I like sports, doing things outdoors like camping, hiking and swimming in the gorge, and of course I love to socialise. Recently I'm interested in renovating my house also, learning by trial and error... I'm learning a lot haha.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I love movies. Anything action/adventure, comic book related, sci-fi. My favourite movies include the 5th element, true lies and watchmen.
I listen to a lot of music, especially Triple J, but like most things. My favourite bands recently include Architecture in Helsinki, Chvrches, The Beards, Seth Sentry, Amy Shark and Thundermentals. But I love the old stuff too.

Oktoberfest and Plitvice Lakes and the most fun and enjoyable things I've done and seen in the past few years. And more recently, meeting amazing people through couch surfing.
