About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel my home town, and discover new people
ABOUT ME
I'm now living back in my home town, Melbourne, and looking to keep my traveller's eyes open by "travelling" my own city and connecting with other like-minded open-hearted people, both visitors and inhabitants. Let's meet and explore!
I travelled in Japan for 3 months, starting mid March 2007. I went WWOOFing (volunteer organic farm work, www.wwoofjapan.org) and also travelling with new friends all over the country.
With a two year working holiday visa based in Edinburgh from August 2007 to 2009, I travelled a lot of Western Europe, Scandinavia and the UK.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I hosted twice in Edinburgh, and surfed several times. I love to connect and share with travellers.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed in Lyon for a week with the lovely Clément, what a great first experience, especially as I went with 7 of his friends for a weekend in Barcelona to finish it off! Learned tortilla from Jesus in Madrid, back when my Spanish was nearly zero.. I've connected with visitors to Melbourne, and with locals when I've been overseas, to share city and person.

Music, Movies, and Books
Favourite book: The Consolations of Philsophy, Alain de Botton. It digests how various philsophers' ideas can be used to improve your quality of life and happiness.
Music to suit my mood:
- jazz standards over dinner
- cheesey 80s, to get my house clean
- salsa and latin, for my dance classes
- Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi party pump-up tunes, Goldfrapp, Dirty South, turn of the century Ferry Corsten, to help me leave the house
- The Cardigans - 'Life' album, to feel cheerfully silly
- Joni Mitchell - A Case Of You, to break up
- internet radio, to broaden some horizons
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
