ABOUT ME

After 10 years of using couchsurfing I became very flexible and easy-going with people. I like to share ideas, skills and language and I am very interested in learning about new cultures!
I don't expect my hosts to be my babysitters, but if they are free, I am happy :)
I work online as author and teacher (for IT and privacy, but also I train teachers in unusual education approaches), so I have flexible hours and also I can easily take a few days off.

Oh ya, I smoke, but only one cigarette at night (and that I can do outside the building, so don't worry about that. I just want to be transparent about it)

I looooove to try new food,but can't eat pork. Everything else is suuuuper fine! And I really want to learn how to cook local dishes. In exchange I can teach how to cook Indonesian food.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When traveling the world I want to go fully in, so I am always couchsurfing. I love staying with families and taking care of their children, helping people with their business, following kind invitations to local events and staying in touch with my hosts afterwards. I am always trying to make friends with my hosts since I really appreciate their efforts. Hence, I have the most beautiful friends from all around the world :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

At my place,I had only very nice and friendly couchsurfers so far. I always feel sorry in case I am too busy to hang out with them all the time. But I try to give them the best impression of my city as possible.
And when I was c-surfing, it has always been a blast. That includes everything between illegal underground-parties in Islamic regimes to philosophical conversations all night long over mango juice in the desert.

Zainteresowania

I like to be exposed to new situations. Routine is what kills my spirit and I can't stay in one place for too long. There are only a few things that build the frame of my life:

I have no clue about movies. I just never watch them. So please forgive me if I don't understand your movie-quote-jokes. I don't have a TV, never had and probably won't ever. Oh, but Captain Fantastic and Fight Club are great!

I enjoy reading all types of literature and I am reading A LOT! So once you message me and there is a book you have been really impressed by, share it with me! Every day of my life is pretty amazing actually. Before I go to sleep I make sure that it was a good day.

It would be great to improve my language skills! (I honestly don't care which language in particular. Just teach me some funny words and I'm the happiest person ever!)
I can offer teaching some German and English and Indonesian/Malay.
I can offer incredible amazement for small details and big complexities.
I can offer interest in everything you tell me, as long as you are honest and tell it with authenticity.
