About Me

WILL GLADLY HOST AMERICAN POLITICAL REFUGEES

CURRENT MISSION

Never take for granted what I have, how I live, what I see; I wish to constantly try myslef and be forced to readapt, in order to expand my confort zone.

ABOUT ME

I would say that I am somewhat low-profile. I like to observe and listen. I am passionate: when I like something, I like it a lot. I like to travel, but don't do it as often as I wish I could. I like to help around the house, the kitchen, when visiting someone, so that my presence is a plus value and not an added effort.
I like all sorts of food, drinks. I'll be ready to try anything.
I like to discuss, to learn about what I don't know. I like to dream of how we could make the world better.

PHILOSOPHY

It costs nothing to make someone else's day better. Smile, be patient, be loving and good things will come.

The best way to enjoy new environment is by bike, going fast, slow, taking a break to walk. You can breathe in, smell, feel, and touch.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My first experience was in Augsburg, where I stayed with a girl named Pia. It was good to see the city through the eyes of someone else, to follow her beat and to meet her friends. And we cooked pumpkin! I never did that. It was good :)

Interests

I like to be underwater, or on the water, but I am not a very good swimmer. I love water sports.
Cycling is my life. As much as possible I include bikes in my travels.
When in doubt, I take my bike and go

I just started doing Yoga!

I'm pretty easygoing and will go with the flow

Music, Movies, and Books

I love the classic, prog and psychedelic rock.
But I've just discovered new bands and I'm a lot into a local Montreal band called Fire/Works.
I've also been listening to Volcano Choir, Alt-J, Hozier, Robert Robert...
To me, music is circumstancial. If I am doing something special and nice while lsitening to a certain song, then I will love this song all my life because of the memory.

I do no get enough of Isaac Azimov's books. The science-fiction and the scientifical essays. What a man. Have you got one in your library?

I've been working in the film/television industry for some years now. So I would say I like any movie that is so good, so inviting that I forget I am actually watching a movie.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I took a night bus to Munich, Germany during Christmas time and I got there so very early nothing was opened. The sun wasn't even up yet. I dropped my bags at the station and wandered through the city, never knowing where I was, observing the city itslef waking up, getting ready for the day to come. I felt priviledged

The first ever trip I did by myslef was in Israel. We also went to Petra, one of the new wonders of the world, and I was amazed. Free to explore it the way we liked. It took two entire days to go around the whole place. I felt like I was at the end of the world.

Teach, Learn, Share

I like to share experiences, to be critical, to discuss! That is how I grow and learn. Cheesy rooftop consversations, maybe with a good bottle, staring at the sky, that I love.

What I Can Share with Hosts

My unconditionnal help, my experience, my ears, my shoulders, my laugh!
My hands to cook, change bike tires, hang a frame, repair stuff! Anything I can do to leave a positive trace behind.

Countries I’ve Visited
