Présentation
À propos de moi
I'm a poor, artistic millennial who's been traveling around the U.S. for the past few months to expand my experience. I love to travel and meet new people and learn new places. I like to learn by doing, preferring to meet a local than read a guide book. I've worked various different service jobs and do freelance design work, along with making music and acting when I can.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
I need to get home for the summer! I got out where I am by car, and will be getting back the same way, which means I have a whole country to get across and I don't know people in every place that I will be passing through. Sleeping in one's car can be an adventure but it gets old pretty fast. I also in general prefer to meet people and maybe make a friend than to stay in some sterile hotel environment, even if I could afford it.
Centres d'intérêt
Making things and performing are my main loves. I've been an actor and singer my whole life, play ukulele and banjo, and am working on writing some of my own stuff. I studied book arts in college and like words and typography and design, which has informed a lot of my own design work. I love really old things. I don't have many (yet) but I love tattoos. I like to be on the move, learning new things.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
So many kinds! I can be happy listening to Top 40 or watching the latest blockbuster, but I also like to branch from the mainstream. Folk, blues, indie rock, traditional American shape-note music (you get points if you know what that is, more points if you'll sing it with me), EDM, South African gospel, punk, Georgian polyphony....the list goes on.
LOTR holds a very important place in my life. So do a lot of the fantasy novels of my youth. I've actually become a lot less of a reader in recent years (thanks, college) which makes me sad. I'm working on it.
Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue
Living in Florence for my entire Junior year of college, and taking an extra four weeks at the end to travel around Italy alone, visiting old libraries to study 15th- and 16th-century books.
Also getting paid to make art or sing songs or be in a play—that's the most amazing feeling.
Ce que j'aimerais partager avec mes hôtes
Conversation, music, art. If you speak Italian or French I can be a conversation partner (would be great for me—I'm super out of practice). I like to cook and bake, so would be happy to make some goodies.
