ABOUT ME

We are a Kiwi couple who have been married for 9 years. We love hanging out with family (including our many nieces and nephews) and our friends. Both of us are positive and easy going people who love to be around people and try new things. We have lived both in NZ and London which we loved.

PHILOSOPHY

Life is all about making memories and experiencing new things. Part of that is meeting people as there is always something that can be shared - ideas, laughs, a meal or just a smile. Enthusiasm and a positive, open minded attitude goes a long way and brings the whole world a little bit closer. Helping others is the only way to truly be happy.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We LOVE to meet people from different cultures and places. Therefore the opportunity to meet 'locals' is awesome. We are newbies at hosting for Couch Surfing but ask anyone we know and we are the first to offer help or a place to stay so would love to have people to stay and make new friends.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Have spent two months in a campervan around Europe and in the process couch surfed with some amazing people. It has simply reinforced to us what a fantastic idea it is and how much better travelling is when you have a personal connection with people in the places you visit. We have just hosted our first couple at our house and it was brilliant!

Intereses

Both of us are really interested in the arts - Euan is a musician and Lu is into dance, drama and music. Euan enjoys learning new things and always has 'ideas' to try especially linked to sport. Louisa loves photography, reading, shopping, cooking as well as finding creative outlets from crochet (yes crochet) to hair. Goes without saying big into travelling too!

Love to read, watch movies and listen to music. We have a diverse range of genres in all areas that we like so too many to list!!!

Algo increíble que he hecho

One of our best experiences was in Thailand about four years ago where we stayed in villages that had never seen foreigners - amazing people! The other great experiences that stand out are the ones that are less touristy and more real and off the beaten track. The people make the place!

Enseña, aprende, comparte

Euan is an engineer but also a keen musician playing guitar, bass, drums and singing. He is also really into electronic music production. Louisa is a teacher and is someone who is keen on photography and just talking! We would love to learn anything - about cultures, languages or just what makes someone else love life. We are keen to help with anything that we can.
