ABOUT ME

My name is Lulu and I am a self-called adventurer/artist/hippie.
I am a traveler with all my heart and soul. I am a calm person but I can dance until the sun comes up and I sure have some stories to tell. I'm a procrastinator, but always optimistic and good hearted. I make quite nice pancakes.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm interested in this way of traveling and besides surfing some comfy couches myself, I hope to be able to host a bunch of fantastic people in the future. I want to share whatever I can with whoever is willing to appreciate it.

Interests

Art, books, a lot of music, a lot of photography and concerts. Spending time with people who don't take life too serious. Spending that time with those exact same people outside at a lake in the woods while lying in a hammock next to a campfire.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pink Floyd, David Bowie, the Doors, Arcade Fire, Sufjan Stevens, William Fitzsimmons, probably every single artist that played Woodstock. Also a lot of psytrance. A lot.

Books: Everything by Hermann Hesse, Walter Moers and Jostein Gaarder. The little prince always makes me very happy.

Movies: Into the wild changed the way I look at life, as silly as that sounds. Other than that, Pulp Fiction, Dead man, Apocalypse now, the ones that make me think, and the ones with good looking actors in them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2010 I travelled through India for 5 weeks and I've been infected with that thing called wanderlust ever since. I remember how every time I discovered something I had never seen or experienced before, I was thinking that this is what life should be all about: the adventure of the unknown and unexpected. India is the most amazing journey I have ever been on, but right now I'm waiting for the world to show me it can do even better than that!
