ABOUT ME

I'm twenty-four, just finished up my university degree from the University of Manitoba. I have two jobs, one at a retirement home as a waitress and the other as a barista in a small cafe downtown. I enjoy a real variety of activities and people; there isn't much I won't try at least once.

I'm in Thunder Bay at the moment for school.

My dog Murray is a poodle and the love of my life, just ahead of the Winnipeg Jets.

PHILOSOPHY

I've been having a bit of an existential crisis lately so I really don't know what to put here except "Who knows!"

I stayed with Amy and Andie in Liverpool for two nights and in Manchester with Steve! Both great experiences, can't wait to have more.

Centres d'intérêt

I love music (anything but country and death metal) and I'd say at least 70% of everyday involves it in some way. I used to play in a band but I was taken with other interests and I've lost most of my abilities, though I still somehow can play tinwhistle. Why my brain decided to remember this and not guitar or bass is beyond me.

I also really love to write and I hope that I will be able to write for a living one day. I know how far fetched that is considering how many books are published every year but I take solace in the fact that so many of them are awful.

When I'm travelling, I love to see the touristy stuff but I also love getting a feel for the people and trying my best to blend in. I love to have a good time but that can vary on the night from extravagant partying until dawn to a cup of tea and a book or a good movie.. I like to go with the flow.

Music - As long as it has a good beat, I like it. Hip hop, jazz, soul, rock, indie, house..

Movies - Snatch, Lock Stock, Love Actually, Four Weddings and A Funeral, Fight Club, Saved!, I Heart Huckabees, Clueless, Sleepy Hollow, Fast and the Furious and many more.

Books - Chuck Palahniuk, Nick Hornby, JK Rowling (yes, I love Harry Potter to a weird degree, don't worry about it), Shakespeare.. as for individual books, ask and you will get a list. :)

Watching Manchester United win the Premier League trophy at Old Trafford.

Throwing a paper airplane (created in memory of a dear friend who passed away) off the Golden Gate Bridge and watching it soar on wind gusts for nearly five minutes.
