ABOUT ME
I'm from Brazil and lived there for most part of my life. When I was 24, I moved to Canada to do my first Master's degree. After living 3 years in this lovely (and cold brrr..) country, I moved to the US to pursue, guess what, another Master's degree. The idea of living and exploring different countries excites me a lot! The Master's is just an excuse.
I have passions besides travelling. I like Social Sciences. I'm a sociologist working with education research. For the past 6 years, I've been studying ways to promote educational quality and equity. Sometimes I wish I was a doctor or an engineer, because I would have money and be less frustrated (much harder to fix social problems!). However, I love what do and I cannot imagine myself studying something else.
I love cooking and eating good food. I had the pleasure to cook for some of my couchsurfers. I really enjoyed it.
I'm usually down for whatever. I like hanging out with people and have long talks while enjoying some beer or wine. If you don't drink any of those, I'd be glad just to go for a coffee and maybe get to know what my next destination will be!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've been on Couchsurfing for a year. The more couchsurfers I meet, the more I love this community. I haven't had a single bad experience and met only very nice people. Through Couchsurfing I met an amazing singer (Rusty Scott, you should check him out!); met brave people who traveled across Canada on a bike (this was one interesting case: http://www.tiredofit.ca/); learned more about beer and wine, my favorite drinks; got a Greenpeace membership and became more conscious about environmental issues; met two cool girls who became my roommates; and made new friends!
