About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Languages! Gotta learn 'em all.. and finally write all references and friend requests - sorry for being so slow
ABOUT ME
Since I left High School I've been living and travelling in Asia and a little bit around Europe. I plan to keep doing this for some time as it's what I enjoy most - exploring the world, experiencing different cultures and learning their languages.
PHILOSOPHY
Have an open mind and try not to take anything too serious. Don't judge people with views conflicting to your own.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm happy to say I've been able to start hosting people myself, after a long period of only surfing :). Had people visit me from Italy, Russia, Canada, Mexico, United States, Australia, Finland, China, Germany, Poland, Serbia, France, Israel and Lithuania so far.
My surf:host ratio is about 2:1, hope I can get it up to 1:1 some time but it's difficult without a stable place of my own. Proud to say I got my mother involved in the project though :).
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
So far I've surfed and travelled with CS'ers in Thailand, Malaysia, Cambodia, Japan, China, Hong Kong, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Montenegro, Croatia, Italy, The Philippines & Macau. It has been a very rewarding experience.
Occasionally during my travels, I have also been invited to stay with non-CS'ers - Borneo stands out as a shining star for un-introduced hospitality.
Interests
Languages, cultural differences, travel, massage, rock climbing and of course I enjoy music, movies and books.

Music, Movies, and Books
The beautiful thing about movies is that the art-form is so complex I can thoroughly enjoy even a frighteningly bad movie. A favourite is Nobody Knows http://imdb.com/title/tt0408664/
Right now I'm reading "Hey, Joe" by Ted Lerner, a fun and enthusiastic book about life for foreigners in the Philippines
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Finally reaching the top of Mt. Fuji, 18 hours after leaving Sengen Jinja on the traditional route. If you climb the mountain, don't make the same mistake - use common sense and start from one of the 5th stations.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm a Thai masseur and I'll be very happy to give you one if you're interested, just make sure to tell me so. I probably won't offer otherwise since it can make people uncomfortable and I don't like that feeling of soliciting something. If you want I can also try to teach you the basics.
I'm always interested in language exchange, the key to having a good experience on travels is to speak a bit of the local language so I always try to make an effort to learn a bit - please teach me and I'll return the favor.
If the ingredients are available, I'll be happy to do some swedish cooking and baking. With a dash of alcohol I might sing you the accompanying songs too!
