About Me

Hello! :)
My name is Lumi and I love traveling and meeting new people around the world! One of my favorite things is talking to people about their ideas, thoughts, believes, wants and, specially, about their dreams and passions. It is always so interesting noticing the similarities and differences that we all share coming from such different backgrounds, and even generations and adopting some of them into my own life :)
I have traveled a lot throughout my life, specially when I lived in England in 2014. I got to visit a lot of countries in Europe and the experience was like no other, definitely an unforgettable one.
I studied my Bachelors in Cholula, Puebla, México a city rich in culture and people from all over the world. I majored in Communications, Media Production and Journalism. My favorite areas of my career are Television and Photography. In television I have served as a host for different television shows and also as an editor. Photography is one of my passions, I love capturing moments and sharing the way I see the world with everyone; fashion, food, sports, music, weddings, documentary and travel (obviously!) are my favorite subjects to shoot.
I am a fencer and have been one since I am 11 years old. I have won two national bronze medals in the most important sports competition in Mexico which is the National Olympics. My weapon is saber. Fencing has been my passion for so long, I have loved every second of the time I have invested in it.
I also enjoy playing tennis, baseball, lacrosse, soccer, running and surfing!
I enjoy cooking, I can do most basic stuff and would love to learn more and more. I find it very fulfilling when I can take a recipe and turn it into my dish of the day! Favorite food? Pizza and gelato (so I was in food heaven in Italy)
I recently moved out of New York after living there for 2 years and this city changed my life completely! It became my favorite city in the world. What's yours? :)
There's so much more about me that I would like to share with you! I hope to meet you soon :)
Kind Regards!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

-I'm fascinated to learn about how other people live in different places of the world, I truly appreciate the "local way of living" and try to become a local anywhere I visit! Adopting new points of view, ways of seeing life, cooking and other people's culture in general has enriched my life in such a big way I want to continue learning more and more :)
-Making new awesome friends!
