ABOUT ME

I am in the midst of powerful transition. I'm moving from "career" to right livelihood - a rich and ever-surprising life focused on the things I love. I live in a gorgeous intentional community north of Seattle, perched on the edge of the North Cascades. My housemates are wonders of being. I will soon embark on a big adventure, and am bidding my time to save up and get everything in order before I leave. I'll be going to New Mexico, and then several locations in Central and South America. My goal is to transform my life, build skills in permaculture, Spanish, plant medicine, travel know-how, ecological design and building, music, shamanism, art, group facilitation, and much more. I deeply enjoy people and quality conversation ~ where we learn from each other.

PHILOSOPHY

The whole universe is pulsing with creative intelligence. I'm along to play my part to the fullest. I learn every day.

I'm keen on so many topics. I love to cook and am interested in health, nutrition, alternative therapies, etc. I geek out on plants, social change, permaculture, guitar and music in general, dance, festivals where I see people living the future, natural building, ecological design, gardening, herbalism, nature, science, counseling and interpersonal mastery, group facilitation, compassionate communication, intentional communities, Aikido, Yoga... List goes on and on. Did I mention open source, free society, fractal mathematics, visual art, symbiosis, evolution, animals, resonance, meditation, astrology, shamanism, and philosophy...Or how about we just sit together and appreciate the morning sun.

I read a lot. Mostly non-fiction works about things that will help me and others make positive change for ourselves and the Earth. I also love poetry ~ Rumi, Hafez, and Omar Khayamm as of late. The Tao Te Ching never fails to move me. I write my own as well.

Music! I'm very eclectic, play music, DJ a little. Always into sharing my favs and learning of artists to check out.

Swimming in Lake Superior and Lake Michigan, the Traverse Bays, and other magnificent water bodies of Michigan have been deeply moving experiences time and again. Working with plant medicine has been a life empowering endeavor on so many levels - and like no other experience I've ever had.
