We are Luna and Thomas, a couple who is travelling around the world during 6-7 months. We are from France (Strasbourg) and Luna lived for a long time in Italy (Rome), so she speaks fluently French and Italian. Thomas is a physical education teacher in a french middle school and Luna a junior graphic designer. Luna is also trying to improve her skills in photography and this trip is the perfect occasion for it !

In any case, This is the first time for us to travel this much together and this far away ! We are going to visit Africa (Kenya and Tanzania), Asia (Myanmar, Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia), New Zealand with a camper van, French Polynesia and San Francisco, which is our last destination before heading back in Europe !

We are going to meet a lot of people and we are very pleased to share with them our discoveries and experiences ! Also, we choose to lead an exchange and discover project in several schools during our trip. We want the children to talk about their way of lives, ambitions and interests to mark similarities, differences or richness between cultures and countries in the world.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As we say before, CS for us is the best way to meet and share experiences with people ! We are curious and we think that the best way to discover a country or a city is by their locals. So, we hope to recieve a lot of advices and share with you a good moment.

We are big fans of Harry Potter (books first, films too). Fun fact : Thomas, to learn Italian, has begin to read HP in this language and it works very well for him ! Other books, Luna loves reading thrillers and Thomas is in love with Harlan Coben.

Also, we usually watch tv shows, our favorites that we watch together are : Game of Thrones, True Detective, The Handmaid's Tale, Homeland, Stranger Things, Dark...
