Sabbatical! Traveling to Peru, Chile, New Zealand, and finally SE Asia before returning home!

ABOUT ME
I've lived in Salt Lake for 5 years. In addition to activities outdoors, I am passionate about universal healthcare, sustainable living, and having a community to be a part of.

I spend most of my free time outdoors and of course love to travel. I plan on spending a couple months backpacking through SE Asia in about a year and hope I can surf some couches along the way!

PHILOSOPHY

I believe in social justice and liberation medicine. I believe that the way you handle a traffic jam says a lot about you.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I met a lot of people in Antigua, Guatemala through the site...I've surfed in NYC, Colorado, New Mexico, California, Ecuador, and Germany. My favorite experience was hot springs at night in Las Vegas, NM.

Music, Movies, and Books

Previous good reads include "Cutting for Stone", "The Glass Castle", "Something Fierce", and "Somebody's Heart is Burning". I also liked "Mantras and Misdemeanours" (about a community of exiled Tibetans in Northern India) and "All the Fishes Come Home to Roost" (about an American girl raised on an ashram in India). I love travel stories.
