About Me
*** FIRST OF ***
* Week days are better! *
Just shot my first short movie ! You can see it here
https://vimeo.com/686609758
YOU SHOULD LET ME KNOW AT LEAST ONE WEEK BEFORE YOUR ARRIVAL! ONE MONTH BEFORE IS GOOD :)
I live with 2 other persons Pacôme and Léa, we all need to agree it is okay for us to host you.
ALSO : no ONE NIGHT HOSTING (when I host I like to get to know people, that's what it's all about anyway, so stop sending me requests if you arrive late and need to catch a flight or train early in the morning!)
AND LAST : I get lots of impersonal requests where my name doesn't even appear... NOT GOING TO ANSWER.
I speak fluently spanish and italian so don't write in english if you are spanish/latino or italian, that is also quite impersonal.
Giving me your INSTAGRAM doesn't replace a good couchrequest, 🎵🎸🎶#idontgiveadamnaboutyourinstagram
UPDATE 2024: Once I've accepted your request, I will cancel it if you constantly keep changing your dates. This December, after accepting a request from a sunday until a tuesday so 2 nights, the guy changed until wednesday but saying he was coming on monday instead of sunday. I accepted. And on monday, WHILE I'm cancelling offers for the afternoon to wait for him, he says he will only be coming on Tuesday for 1 night which btw I don't accept. All of this time, he had my whatsapp and didn't make any contact. Then, tells me his plans are to arrive around 10am and leave the next day in the afternoon WTF... I and only I tell you when to come and if it's ok to leave when you would prefer. THAT is couchsurfing not giving me your check in and out schedule like I'm some hotel JESUsSSS
ps: This supposed stay included 24 and 25th of December
CURRENT MISSION
always keep discovering, don't ask yourself "why?" but "why not ?"
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy person to live with, I'm pretty much always in a good mood :) I like to make fun about others but first of all of myself !
Couchsurfing history = I started hosting in Paris (a lot) in 2012, then I moved to Rome in 2013, and with my 3 roommates Gabriele, Paolo and Irene we kept hosting a loooot :)
After spending a while in Paris when my Erasmus was finished, I was back in Rome in 2015!
I lived with 2 girls, Michela and Federica, both from Calabria (region of South Italy) and I made them discover CS.
Then I moved to Lyon for love in 2015 and spent a year working there and kept hosting with my ex-boyfriend Clément.
Annnd since september 2016, I am back in Paris to start a cinema school and will hopefully stay there for the next 2 years !!!
Since September 2020, I live in east Paris, metro station Pyrénées with my new boyfriend, Pacôme ♡ and a flatmate, Léa https://couchsurfing.page.link/xBcJqiZH4SYqad8R9
PHILOSOPHY
just when you think you know something, you must look at it in a different way...
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In Paris and Rome, I hosted a lot of people, mostly girls in my room or in another room. I offer a couch and sometimes I can invite you to places I like, but sometimes I'm really busy with studies and well, life, so I can host you but don't ask too much, and be free!
About surfing at my place: I really ask you to be nice to every person that lives with me in the appartment, even if it's just saying "hello" in the morning, to be veryyy clean and to not take everything for granted !
CS is a gigantic gift hosts offer and I really appreciate when I feel people are happy and grateful.
I say all of this because sometimes CS weren't that cool.
On the other hand, I won't be part of those hosts who ask you (on their profile) to share EVERYTHING with them, "don't use my flat as a free hostel BLABLABLAH!" and to be their best friend 24/7
(seriously, chill out guuuys!)...
Sometimes I feel stupid reminding simple things but with all my experience now I know I need to : If you need something (shampoo, make-up, books, using the washing machine, the kitchen, using the fridge, the TV...) please ask and don't just use it, you are still in someone else's house. Also don't double lock our front door from the inside, my flatmate got stranded outside too many times (and also, I never asked anyone to do that!)
What will get you a negative comment from me (only situations that actually happened):
waking me up in the middle of the night so you can go out and need indications (wtf) and not coming home to sleep without telling me.
not meeting me in person, meet my bf, take the keys and leave extremely early in the morning and come back after 1am for days so that I end up hosting you without seeing you.
eating my food without permission
eating in the couch and leaving it gross,
washing your hair for 35 minutes (no I'm kidding, but pls don't!)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
2012-2013
I've couchsurfed three times in Rome and once in Berlin and all the experiences were fantastic so I've hosted a lot of people in my apartment in Paris after that ! so far it has been a wonderful experience with almost each one of my couchsurfers :)
2013
Then I did a Spanish trip with one of my best friends, Caroline, and we surfed in Sevilla and Barcelona !
2014
During my Erasmus year in Rome, I was hosted in Napoli, Venezia, Milano, Marsala (Sicily), La Valletta, Prague, Bugibba (Malta) and surfed a friend's couch in Barcelona (again, YES I LOVE BCN !!)
I continued hosting all that year I was living in Rome.
In December 2014, during a trip to Chile with my dad to visit family, we couchsurfed couches in La Serena and Castro in the island of Chiloé.
2015-2016
I hosted CS in Paris and in Rome. When I moved to Lyon, I kept hosting quite a bit introducing my ex-boyfriend to this marvellous way of traveling :) We also both couchsurfed together in Turin, Italy !
2017 - 2018
I moved back to Paris and I am now living on my own in the suburbs. I did some Airbnb because I needed the money.
In august, I traveled with my ex-boyfriend Clement throughout eastern Europe and we've been hosted in Wroclaw and Katowice (Poland), in Budapest (Hungary), Vienna (Austria) and Bratislava (Slovakia).
2018
No couchsurfing this year as I needed money so I rented my place :( bouhou capitalist world you're killing me.
2019
I recently started to host again for the summer and I already met some really beautiful persons ♡
During a trip this autumn in the Balkans, we were hosted with Clément in Sarajevo (Bosnia and Herzegovina), Zagreb (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia).
2020
Coronavirus ruled
2021
Still bummed about Covid. Absolutely not going to ask whether you are vaccinated or not, it is way too personnal and I don't think anyone should be pressured about it.
I started to host again when I changed flatmate this last summer ! With Pacôme we decided we will host one or two couchsurfer(s) per month whenever it is alright for everyone. It is not much but we also need our space and time so it is an arrangement that is working well so far!
2022
We kept hosting all year ! When bullshit sanitary pass was over, I traveled to Bristol and Exeter in the UK and found couches to surf in both cities, both experiences were great, and very different!
2023
Still hosting in Paris ! Also, I organized a surprise trip to Cluj-Napoca in Romania for my sister's (Chiara) birthday and we were hosted by fantastic women ♡
2024
We recently welcomed our new flatmate Léa so we will take it slow on hosting but we are still doing it!
IMPORTANT
The Couchsurfing website changed. If you joined in late 2014 or after that you probably don't know, but it used to be WAY better !!
I'm stating that because the way people send Couchrequests TOTALLY changed : before, you had 2 sections, one in which you presented yourself and your trip and your way of arrival (train, bus, etc) and dates/time and another one in which you explained why you chose this host in particular (if you send me a Couchrequest that would be me ^^).
Today, you have one section only and no indication and I receive tons of requests like "Hi Luna, I am Joe, I am coming to Paris and I need a place, will you host me please? thx "
Well, guys this is NOT a Couchrequest and I am no longer gonna answer stuff like this. I am not being mean but this is just ridiculous.
Interests
I think life isn't worth it if it doesn't surprised you everyday. We should keep on doing things we'd say we 'd never do, talk to strangers, smile to anyone, we should be open to discover always a little more what's surrounding us.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My trip to india was quite amazing, and..let me think...
Oh yeah, my father is from Chile and everytime I go to south america it's like i'm re-discovering it all over again, there's a very special feeling there.
I took a snake around my neck in Thailand when I was 10, bwaaaah !
Recently at the Solidays music Festival in Paris, I went bungee jumping, even though everyone thinks it's so cool, it was traumatic !!! ^^
And last thing: I fell in love with Sardegna as well don't ask me why but I am completely mesmerized by this island, I went hitch-hiking several times there :)
I would looove to go to Australia too, it is one of my dreaaams ^^
Teach, Learn, Share
Eager to learn anything, I know a lot about history of course..., and we can cook a few things :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
MONEY ISSUES
Recently, a friend told me I should charge people sending me emergency couch request : 24 hours before coming at my place, they have nowhere to be, I suggest to charge 10 euros /night = IT DID SEEM REASONABLE.
I know I would have payed, but again I am not very comfortable charging for a couch, even for an amount as symbolic and low as 10 euros.
But I did and I'm sorry, of course it wasn't accepted, so it didn't happen.
BUT THEN I THOUGHT ABOUT ONE THING : for almost a year now I hosted people and they never offered me anything.
Now, when I surfed and went out with my hosts I always insisted on paying their drink/food/museum/ice cream : IT IS NORMAL. They host me for free, it is the least I can do, EVEN if they work and I'm a student, even if I'm a woman and he's a man. It is just being polite guys. The host takes you to bars, restaurants, places and you're just being GRATEFUL for it.
But, I've been taking people to drinks, aperitivo, restaurants, and for a year not one even offered to (maybe) invite me. It is ok, I don't get mad, but it still weirds me out a bit that the surfer doesn't want to make this gesture. I didn't want to write this because it sounds like "buy me gelato" and "buy me dinner" but it's not what I mean, what I mean is sometimes I thought about charging people for a couch just so I could go out with them, isn't that sad in a way?
I am a student, I have no money by definition but when surfing I just think that's normal.
When you're in my house, I will share the few things I have for breakfast, make a cup of tea or coffee, sometimes dinner, etc. In the end I think it is sad to think I might quit Couchsurfing for a while because it is COSTING me too much to share everything and not to get offer a thing :(
TIME ISSUES
April, 5th 2015 : I waited for my surfers last night until 1am and they where supposed to land at 10.40 pm. I had no news since their last Whatsapp text at 9.45 pm. I fell asleep on my phone just to see this morning they had wrote me at 1.30am to come to my place. THIS ISN'T A FIRST TIME BUT IT'S OVER. Not gonna answer after that late or open my door as I already have at 2am. IF YOU LAND LATE OR COME IN LATE, DOOR WILL BE CLOSED: NO ONE AFTER 10 pm. !
FOOD ISSUES
Too many times, some surfers just hang out around breakfast/lunch/dinner time in the apartment while I cook for myself but have nothing to eat or to prepare for themselves which creates a weird vibe and makes me feel like I have to cook for them as well, even if I didn't plan to. I would really appreciate that, if you want us to have lunch/dinner together, we can plan it and you can buy stuff or that, if you need to cook for yourself, you buy your food, etc.
I would always share but I just need to know a little bit before and not while I'm already cooking.
ALL THESE ISSUES CAN BE 0 ISSUE
