About Me

My name is Luna, I'm currently studying sciences in Paris, and I'm a very cheerful person. If I had to describe myself, I’d say I’m curious, dynamic and ambitious (often too much so!). I come from a large family, so I’m used to sharing and living in a bit of chaos, and that’s exactly what I love!

I have one part of me that’s super focused, serious, hardworking, and persistent, mostly because I put so much into my studies, which are really demanding. Then there’s this other part of me that’s way more chilled out, adventurous, and creative - the part that always wants to be doing a million things, traveling everywhere, and discovering everything.
I’m really into sports, especially surfing and skiing. It’s actually pretty frustrating living in Paris because I spend the whole year waiting impatiently for winter to ski and summer to surf so I can finally head off on vacation!
I also love hiking, especially trekking in the mountains and camping out in a tent.
And I’m a big fan of cooking too, especially baking cakes (and I definitely love eating them just as much!).

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve dreamed of travelling round the world – not as a tourist, but by taking the time to settle into small villages, meet the locals and immerse myself in their culture.
When I discovered Couchsurfing, I thought it was a great way to get closer to that dream: meeting people in their own environment, discovering their way of life and their culture, and sharing my own...
I love cooking traditional dishes and introducing them to others, realising that our customs are so different from one part of the world to another and that’s what makes travelling so fascinating to me!

I’m planning to go on an Interrail trip this summer with my backpack, and as it’s my first time, I thought it would be really beneficial and enriching to meet people who are used to this way of travelling, who have more experience than me and who can give me advice and teach me a lot! I can’t wait to discover new horizons =)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don’t think I’ve done anything extraordinary yet, but I’m still young and that’s why I’m so keen to travel: to set off on adventures and have incredible experiences!
That said, I have wonderful memories of a surf camp in Portugal where I met some amazing people from all over the world. The cultural mix was really great and surfing brought us all together. It was really brilliant and it was important for me because I didn’t speak English very well, so I was quite apprehensive, but I came away feeling proud of myself for having done it =)

A funny little anecdote: last year I went on a road trip to Norway. We were sleeping in a tent, wild camping, and one night we set up in a field that seemed deserted. But after we’d finished setting everything up, a herd of cows charged straight at us. We were absolutely terrified and now I’ll be wary of cows for the rest of my life!
