About Me
Olá!
I'm Luiza, a 24yo pharmacy's student at São Paulo State University who loves to get into new experiences.
Since I was a child, my family kept me in contact with nature and arts. My mom had a hand-craft store and my dad runs a marine biology and shipwreck museum on a small coast city in Southeast Brazil. I was always doing crafts, learning about plants and animals and being in touch with tourists. That can clearly define my 3 passions in life: nature, arts and travelling.
In 2015 I graduated in Interior Design and also did an Urban Garden course that opened my mind to ecological/social projects. Then, I headed up to the Netherlands to work as an Au Pair for 1 year. During that time I had the chance to explore Europe as much as I could and got to know many incredible and different cultures.
In 2017 I was back in Brazil and went on a 10-day-silent-meditation-course called Vipassana. It was a life-changing experience that I got a second dose later in 2019.
In 2019 I decided to change radically the course of my life and started to study Pharmacy at one of the top 3 best Universities in Brazil. So now I'm living on a student house on a small city in the interior of São Paulo State . Who knows tomorrow, right?
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As I am a new-experiences-lover, I needed to find ways to motivate myself during this 6-year-graduation, so I thought I could meet or even host people from all over the world.
I cant really travel right now because of my studies, but meeting travellers is still a way of travelling. I love to share stories.
Interests
I'm usually very busy with my studies wich I really love, but on my free time, I enjoy doing some crafts or illustrations, playing the guitar, cooking, watching a movie, taking care of the garden and having a beer with my friends.
I love deep conversations.
