Overview
About Me
I am a Brazilian globetrotter currently living in Portugal.
I have been traveling independently since my teens and from then onwards I progressively became more interested in exploring off-the-beaten-track places around the world.
I like to think of myself as a down-to-earth and open-minded human being and I strive to live a minimalist and frugal lifestyle. Although I'm not (yet) resistant to all the germs of consumerism, I try my best to question all conditioning of modern society. For instance, all simple pleasures in life e.g. a good homemade meal or an uncontrollable laughter make me happier than spending money on unnecessary material goods.
My religion is love and kindness.
I am keen to meet people with depth, with a wild and untamed spirit, who speak with emotion and bring a true piece of themselves into my life. Please do not hide your differences; celebrate it instead!
Echoing Marisa Monte: the world is portable for those who do not have anything to hide.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To share, connect, exchange, (co-)evolve.
I also love the anti-commercialism of it - I believe that this is a peace movement.
The idea that we can spark a Ripple effect of positive change on people's lives from all around the globe through Couchsurfing is something that mesmerises me beyond measure. Go, humanking, go!
Interests
I don't travel to watch soccer or get drunk. I travel to cross mountain ranges until I get to the edge of the world, to watch sunrises and sunsets, to breath different air.
I like to be outdoors, fully immersed in nature.
I appreciate all simple things in life, such as practising meditation and yoga in the wild.
I love reading a good book while sunbathing at the beach, or along with a good glass of wine or a warm cup of coffee.
I get fully recharged when I go trekking or hiking, when I discover secluded waterfalls in tropical jungles, when I explore ancient ruins from lost civilisations...
