About Me

I am Lucas, a 27-year-old Brazilian that has no clue about his own life. I mean, I do know some stuff that I want, but I don't usually get stuck with something for too long. I once wrote here on my profile that every two years I could notice a big change in my life, and that remains the same.

If there is one thing that I am sure is that traveling makes me happy. I always say that "traveling" is different than “holidays” and we can talk about that if we meet. Oh, and by the way, I am traveling the world. Again. This time with my girlfriend.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am here because I find the idea behind it great. Getting to know people from the places you go to is a lot more interesting than staying at a hostel. As soon as I return home I will be hosting people.

Interests

Travelling, music (although I cannot play any instruments), learning languages, meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Sigur Rós, Into the wild, The Hobbit, Beirut, Trainspotting, Macanudo, UP, Noah and the whale and many many others. I also like a lot of shitty music but I won't name them here, it would ruin my hipster taste.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The one thing I am proud of having done in the past was to quit everything (work, uni, "normal" life) and go travelling for the first time in my life. It was a lot fun and it changed everything for me. These are some amazing things I did while traveling that time:

• Watched the night skies at Sao Pedro de Atacama desert. I always say it was like looking at the skies, but in high-definition.

• Paid 10 dollars in Ecuador to jump off a bridge that is 120m high.

• Hitchhiked about 600km in the UK

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to travel long term, you could teach me the basics of your language, share opinions on good music.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Austria, Belgium, Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, Czech Republic, Ecuador, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Netherlands, Peru, Portugal, Spain, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In
