About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To find my heart song

ABOUT ME

I guess that I would describe myself as a second generation hippie, or just simply born in the wrong decade. I identify with the late 60's/70's American hippie culture. I'm a California girl who lived in New York City and is now residing in Iowa. I love music, especially Folk-Rock and World Music. I often stay up late watching documentaries and coloring.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm just trying to explore the world. Break through walls. I'm trying to dance through life, listening to different beats along the way. I respect other people's beliefs, and try to stay as open-minded as possible. I think that we should all work to take care of one another. We only have one life so let's fill it with love.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I couchsurfed in Europe and I went to meetings when i lived in NYC. I'm in Iowa City now, so I haven't really connected with other couchsurfers here yet. I'm down for meeting up for coffee or something if Iowa City is one of your destinations.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Europe Summer 2010 was incredible. Met amazing people. Saw beautiful landscapes. Tried new foods. Listened to awesome music. I'll never forget it and I want to go back as soon as possible.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most amazing thing I've seen in my life was seeing my little brothers for the first time. The day that they were born was the best day of my life. As far as doing something amazing, well I guess moving out to New York was pretty amazing. Now that I look back on it, all the volunteer work I did as a kid was amazing. I would like to do more volunteer work in the future.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am knowledgeable about Psychology and Speech-Language Pathology. I can have good and respectful philosophical and religious discussions. I am a leather worker, making custom headbands, bracelets, and more. I would love to learn how to cook.
