About Me
Currently Traveling the East Coast...
CURRENT MISSION
To increase my "circle of friends" and "see the world'..
ABOUT ME
I'm a retired, 63 year old who has spent the bulk of my adult life raising 2 great kids and 2 not so great ex-husbands..;-0! My kids are established into the next phase of this journey we call life. I am a Grandma to two little sweeties.. ;-) I typically always have an opinion and am non-traditional by nature. I was raised on a farm yet love city and urban areas the best.
I'm clean and neat——drink socially---don't smoke--love to travel, read, talk and will try most things at least once so long as jumping out of a perfectly good plane is not involved. I am drawn to warm climates in the winter. I HATE cold weather, yet since I am a Grandmother to a Grandson and Granddaughter who recently relocated (with their parents) to North Carolina, I experience more exposure to cold weather than I would prefer.
I have been "on the move" nearly non-stop since 2013. Due to the perfect/non perfect set of circumstances, I am currently traveling for a few months visiting friends, family and sight seeing while I ultimately settle in Philly when my apartment is ready.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
By filling out a profile and offering up my couch——or a bedroom or 2 or entire house when possible
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Did some exchange trips in HS. Woke up on some "strange" couches in my youth. Completed my first couch surfing experience in San Francisco June 2007 and have had several other VERY positive experiences. Afterall, "nobody knows the lay of the land like the locals."
I have developed a few longterm friendships through couch surfing.
Interests
Traveling, reading, socializing, fairs, fest, museums, historical sites, surfing the net, increasing my knowledge base…just about anything. My favorite weather permitting pastime is bike riding and i travel with one anywhere I drive.

Music, Movies, and Books
ok...I'm a sucker for sappy movies like "On Golden Pond" laughed my a%% of watching "Grumpier Old Men," The Odd Couple II" plus "Diary of a Mad Black Woman" I consider "The Fugitive" to be one of the all time best suspense movies. I also like most documentaries. Music---I'm perty much country or classic rock with a little blues and everything else mixed in. Books—Michael Connelly, James Patterson, Mary Higgins Clark and Janet Evanovich top the list. For the most part-I have been too busy to read any books or see any movies—-so I'm will undoubtedly lose any trivia games regarding such.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The most amazing thing I've seen is watching my children grow into amazing adults. I am getting to experience this all over again through my Grandchildren.
Teach, Learn, Share
Learning: I love to learn about other people, their lives, experiences, perceptions on life. At 63, is absolutely nothing like I imagined it would be as a 30 year old. My life path has been an adventure.
I'm learning how to play golf..you'll see me in the Women's Open next year...;-)
I have spent many months in Mexicoover the past several years learning about the culture not to be confused with learning the language. I also learned one really can get sick of Tortilla Chips and Corona ;-0
As for teaching: I have a PhD from the college of experience....can probably offer some good tips on what NOT to do in about any area of life. ;-)
Sharing....my home, my experiences and good times to come.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Some GREAT stories, minor DYI repairs plus I make good banana bread too! ;-)
