I'm Weichen, born in Pingtung, south part of Taiwan. I was work for Tripda, a carpooling platform startup company from Brazil, as a business development manager in Taipei. Now I run a team call wowAfrica, a Africa information platform in Taiwan.

I'm a open-mind guy who love meeting new friends and learn new things. I also enjoy sharing and listening story from others. My hobbies are reading, running and photography.

I have traveled Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China and France. In 2014, I spent 85 days in Africa such as Burkina Faso, Ghana, Kenya, Uganda, and Rwanda. I found that there are many things I have to discovery and learn in Africa. After this journey, me and my friend fund "wowAfrica". We want not only promote information and culture of Africa through website and offline events but hope build up a relation bridge between Taiwan and Africa continent.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard one of my friend who is a backpack traveler. He share his experience of couchsurfing and recommend me should try if I got a chance. I have a little bit concerning of course. But been a while just a sound comes out form my mind said "why not!?"

And sure I have two times couchsufing experience as a guest in Ghana. That's awesome that I could listen the story form local host. and also know his city/town through local option. The best thing is we become friends and traveling partner to discovery his country.

I'm believe that if I want to know a area deeply should not just be a tourism guy but a guy who live with others, see what they see, and feel what they feel. I'm sure that I will use couchsurfing always. And wish I could be a host in future.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Have a amazing family that support me to do whatever I want.

I don't follow my mechanical engineering education background to be a engineer. I want start my own business in future. This decision should take risk than to follow the rule and others step to live. But my family encourage me go for everything as I'm young.

Maybe you will said this is not the thing I've done. But believe me, my friend, there's nothing more amazing to have a family support you in your life.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm still learning how to build up and organize a team work to do well. I want be a business man who not care money only but focus on social and human.

Maybe it sounds like the mindset of "social enterprise". But My definition and vision about social enterprise is there is: There's no social enterprise in world cause human treat human equality and be friend with environment are a thing for sure.
