I would describe myself as calm and friendly, open-minded, animal-loving and curious about new places.
I love to spend time with my friends and enjoy profound conversations as well as silence.

I love to spend my time outside in nature and I like art and photography.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think it is a great opportunity to visit places and see them through the eyes of people who come from those places.
I enjoy meeting new people and learning about their lives, culture and language.

Five years ago my boyfriend and I made a trip to Side (Turkey) and we were really disappointed because it was just a place for tourists and it was impossible to meet natives because there were only tourists everywhere. It was even hard to find a restaurant with local cuisine.
After that vacation we decided that our next trip should be totally different. We decided to travel independent, without any travel agency.
We backpacked through Ireland for a month last summer and met lots of interesting and friendly people and had the best holiday ever :) Since then I have also backpacked through New Zealand and Italy.

I am going to come to New Zealand again in Spring 2019 (Febr-May) to write my thesis in cooperation with VU Wellington.

Interests

I really love music, so I try to visit as many festivals and concerts as I can (and can pay :D).
My favourite bands are Florence + The Machine, Ben Howard, Bon Iver and Mumford and Sons. But I like lots of other bands, it would be too much to list them here.
I would like to show you some songs I love, maybe as well some German bands, if you are interested.

I like cooking and I don't eat meat. I like to try new recipes and meals, and I could cook something vegetarian for you if you like.
I would love to have a garden where I could plant some vegetables, but unfortunately I don't have a garden where I could do this.

I like swimming, kayaking, waterski, horse riding, hiking, bicycling and reading.

In addition, I am interested in Social Sciences. I like to read specific books and studies about social psychology and human behavior. I am currently studying a Research Master in Social Psychology.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you some German if you want and I could show you some vegetable recipes that I love. In conversations I would share my experiences and ideas with you.
I would like to learn about animals or gardening. And it would be nice if we could speak English or French, I would like to improve my language skills (if you don't want to learn some German).
