Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
to explore Europe while I'm studying here!
ABOUT ME
I was born in Chongqing, China and moved to Oklahoma City, USA when I was four years old. Oklahoma could be pretty boring, but I still miss the spacious skies and long road trips. I moved to Baltimore to attend art school and explore the east coast. Now I'm studying painting (though I spend more time writing stories) in the very north of the Netherlands. I love to travel and meet new people. I'm pretty relaxed and easy-going. Most importantly, I love to eat and cook!
PHILOSOPHY
"Be yourself; everyone else is already taken." - Oscar Wilde
“Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.”- Mahatma Gandhi
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I currently live in a tiny apt with 2 other people that doesn't even have a living room, so it is difficult for me to host someone right now. I'm happy to meet up for coffee or a beer even if I can't offer a place to stay.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm new to couchsurfing so I don't have much first hand experience, but some of my good friends are couchsurfers and I've met really interesting people through them.
Interests
food, cooking, museums to really specific and odd things, a nice whiskey, bookstores, films where nothing really seems to happen, traveling of course, hiking, going on adventures with friends (or new acquaintances), dancing (badly)

Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach to cook some traditional Chinese dishes from the Sichuan region of China (spicy!). I can help someone if they want to practice their English or Chinese. I have some experience working in a career development office so I can also help with resumes ;) I'd like to learn some new recipes.
