Overview
About Me
I am a rather curious guy who likes being amazed at life - always fascinated with experimenting stuff and learning new things, specially traveling. To be honest, I am sometimes geekier than I would like to admit, but oh boy I do enjoy it!
I am proud of coming from a multiethnic country such as Brazil, even if my ancestry is mainly European. I worked many years as a journalist before graduating as a psychologist. Today I work in HR, which can be a great place to do some good (even if sometimes boring)!
I don't give that much attention to material things - except books and wine, which are fun things to share with my friends. Besides Portuguese and English, I can speak French and Spanish. I also understand some Italian and Russian.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've done couch surfing with friends in Argentina, Germany, the US and, of course, Brazil. I also received friends in more than one occasion, and hope to do it again one day (currently, I don't have accommodations to offer). Most of my experiences were outside of the Couchsurfing community, which I hope to change in the future.
Interests
I believe few things are more powerful than a meaningful encounter and an honest conversation. I love to listen to and share stories about people, life, the universe and everything. I am fascinated by the subtle differences between cultures and I feel grateful to partake from the daily life of so many incredible places around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books
Gabriel Garcia Márquez, Jorge Luis Borges, Hemingway and Erico Veríssimo. I listen mainly to jazz, but I'm quite ignorant in the matter. As far as movies go: Magnolia, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Stranger than Fiction, Trainspotting, Fight Club, Amélie Poulin, Pan's Labyrinth, Garden State, Lost in Translation, Les Intouchables.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Cave hunting in Guatemala. Speaks for itself. Just wow!
Teach, Learn, Share
I always believed the best way to enjoy life is to learn as much as possible and share whatever we can. I love discussing most subjects and learning new perspectives from different points of view. I do refrain from discussing soccer, but that’s about it...
What I Can Share with Hosts
I love to cook and to talk about cultures in general, as well as sharing travel experiences. I am quite knowledgeable about wines and languages. As a Psychologist and a Journalist, I also don’t mind helping people with their communication skills :)
