About Me

My name is Ly. I was born in Moscow, Russia, and lived there for 7 years (unfortunately though, I have forgotten Russian :( ). I came back to Hanoi, Vietnam with my mom and then I moved alone to Finland for higher education when I was 17. About my studies, I major in International Business Marketing and I'm living in Helsinki, Finland. My life has been great *thumbs up*, so far.

I'm really into photography and traveling. Currently, I'm trying to travel as much as possible to find inspiration to start my own travel blog real soon.

You might find me a bit silent, but please don't confuse that with me being shy, it's just my nature that I'm a listener more than a talker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm just fascinated by the idea of cultural (and couch) sharing.

Interests

Because my parents aren't quite the traveler type and they never let me travel on my own, I only started traveling when I got to Finland and I absolutely love every minute of my travels. As mentioned in bio, I'm starting my own travel blog so I'm spending my school breaks mostly to travel and go to random places xD

Doing photography is when I'm home. I have been doing it for about 2 years-ish. I don't think I'm good at it though since I'm still trying to find my own style, so I'm open to trying all types of photography, which is great in a way.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to all kinds of music, but mostly rock and some random Japanese songs.
My most favorite movies are probably "Before sunrise", "The pursuit of Happyness", "Intouchables" kind of movies. Oh and I'm also digging into Golden Age movies because I find them pretty fancy.
For books, Haruki Murakami is my most favorite author, apart from that, I read a lot of Vietnamese and some modern literatures.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm more than happy to share with you my knowledge in photography.
