Chi sono

CURRENT MISSION

Impress you by my profile! Just joking! Mission, what a big word. I guess it is finding my passion of life. I try to enjoy every moment, meet all the inspiring and fantastic people, enrich myself in mind, hopefully it will guide me to find my passion piece by piece I have done.

ABOUT ME

An open-minded and outgoing girl originally from Hong Kong. I went to London alone for working holiday 2014-2015, now I am back to HK but I would still love to meet international friends. I love solo travelling, I love meeting new friends from different culture, I am curious and interested to know people from another side of the earth as I like to jump out of the comfort zone.

I have been to quite a few places in Europe like Netherlands, France, Germany, Spain, Portugal, Italy etc. I have done couchsurfing in Turkey and Morocco.

PHILOSOPHY

My belief is " Do something today your future self will thank you for." Therefore I like to jump out of my comfort zone, I went to London alone, I worked as an intern in a local charity which everyone is local. I like to prepare myself to great experience which will make myself a more wonderful human being !

Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing

For cultural exchange, I love meeting new friends from different culture!

In Barcelona, I met a Polish lady, and we spend a day visiting Montserrat together and had paella and Sangria at night.

In Milan, I met an English guy in hostel, we spent the breakfast time talking about our travel urge, ambition and plans. We became friends and I visit him and his family later in Cheltenham.

In Venice, I met an Australian girl when waiting for a bus, we went to the most colorful Burano island together. At night, we opened a Prosecco and sat at riverside chatting.

In Berlin, I met an Australian guy and we went on an alternative street art walking tour together. After then, he came to London for working and we still kept in touch.

In Brussels, I met two Swiss guys and we went to have mussels for dinner and had a pint afterwards.

I love meeting new friends with quality talk and inspiration!!! I am based in Hong Kong at the moment because of my job, therefore I hope I can still continue forming meaningful friendship with people from all over the world here or out there someday :)

Interessi

Travel - I love travelling, especially solo travelling!! Travelling alone is amazing cause I am the only one I can rely on, also I always have the time to keep the conversation with myself. More importantly, it is soooooo easy to meet other travellers!!

Meeting new friends - I love meeting new friends, as new people has their own idea, dream and belief which can inspire you and keep you refresh! I am so easy going and talkative, if you show your interest and give me time, I can keep talking with you even you are a new friend. I can meet people on the bus, in the mall, from interview, while travelling, in ANY way if you are open-minded enough as well !

Getting close to nature - I am born in city and I am a city girl. But I do love nature as it is so peaceful like meditation. I love hiking when I was in Hong Kong, I love to go to beaches( the recent one is in Lisbon) , I love running along the riverside/ seaside ( e.g. canal near Camden town)

Dance - I learned modern dancing in high school, I stopped it when I entered Uni. I learned it again few months before I came to London. PUSH by Sylvie Guillem and Russell Maliphant is the best dance performance I watched in London :D

Photography - I am not professional but I love taking photos. I love capturing the natural side of people action. I went for a few Instagram meetup as well. My instagram account is lydiayyc if you like to check it out.
