About Me
Hello! I'm Lydia! Thanks for reading my profile!
Where do I begin? I am a passionate dancer and mover but also love to explore new and old places. In short, it is hard for me to be still, but when I am tired or feel chill, I enjoy talking with friends, reading, and journaling.
I grew up in California but lived in Pittsburgh, PA to get my degree in dance. I love both places, they have special places in my heart. I wish they were closer together. I moved back to the Bay Area where I currently dance professionally and work at Peet's Coffee & Tea.
I would love to get to know you and your city and will share with you where I am from and where I am going!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
As a surfer, I don't have a lot of money and can't always afford to stay in a hotel or a hostel. So, this helps me with expenses. Plus, I don't get to know a place very well if I stay in hotel, but I learn so much more when I stay with people who live in the area. Also, I really like to engage in spaces where people are willing to share not only their homes but who they are so that we can learn about each other!
As a host, one of my dreams is to house travelers so that they can have a place to stay and feel at home a little bit. When I was growing up, my parents let a lot of people stay at our house whether they were transitioning into new homes, going through a divorce, or studying abroad. So, I am inspired by what they did and want to do that for others. I would love to learn about my guests and hear their stories!

I completed an internship with an organization that established friendships with the homeless and helped them find jobs and housing. I got to teach homeless women some contemporary dance!
Teach, Learn, Share
I would love to teach you self-massage, breathing techniques, and stretches in order to relax the body. Also, I am pretty knowledgeable about tea. So if you're curious or a tea fan, let's talk tea!
I would love to learn mostly anything, but some things I would like to learn a new language, new dance styles, and more about you. I love to hear about other people's stories and life experiences.
I would love to share with my story of who I am and where I am going! Also, I work at Peet's Coffee & Tea and get some coffee and tea. Let me know what you like, and I can bring you some!
