I'm a Welsh girl studying a masters in Amsterdam. Positivity is key for me, don't want to surround myself with people who can't see the beauty in the world and it's people. I would also say I'm really chilled person, take a back seat and see where it takes me. I'm hugely liberal and accepting of diversity, it's what makes us.

When travelling I enjoy meeting people who have a love for, a real passion, for there town. Someone who can walk you down there everyday street and get excited. This is why couchsurfing is ideal.

Interesses

I'm trying to get into running, so if you can recommend any good spots in your town give us a shout. Same goes for hiking.

I'm a lover of nature, so you will often find me picking flowers/ stealing them from people's gardens. I love animals so meat and fish are a no go.

Also travelling I have really got into diving and want to hit up more water sports such as surfing and kayaking.

I also love to knit, but that's just embarrassing.

Músicas, Filmes e Livros

I'm into house/ techno for a good night out but also a fan of grunge, classic rock, funk, jazz and rap. I am eclectic, but my favourite artists are Kendrick Lamar, Nirvana, Childish Gambino, the yeah yeah yeahs, Billy Holliday, Lead Belly, Mac Miller, The Beatles, Leonard Cohen, Simon and Garfunkel and more.

As for movies, I am a fan of old horror, the shining is my go to. But also a huge Dustin Hoffman fan love so midnight cowboy and the graduate. I have the film taste of a 60 year old man (I blame my papa)

Books, anything with political undertones such as Orwell. I also really love philosophy such as Sartre, de Beauvoir, Nietzsche, Gandhi and Foucault. Any suggestions are welcome!

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I worked on a bar in Rio and on Christmas Day we hosted an event to feed and give aid to the homeless. It was a really beautiful day. One guy said to me, which I will never forget, 'your presence here is important.' That's why I travel.

I worked in women's rights organisation with women survivors of domestic violence in east Africa. I met some of the most inspirational, patient and strong women you will ever come across. To even be in there presence was amazing.

Studying sociology at Cambridge I am interested in developing a wider understanding of people and society. I have a particular interest in gender studies. My dissertation was focused on Instagram 'fatshionistas' and the body positivity movement. I looked into the use of emotions in undermining beauty standards. I'm happy to talk!
