Overview
About Me
I've grown up in Britain and have made it my mission to live in the North, Middle and South of England!
I work as a Theatre Designer and enjoy the daily opportunity to be creative, the collaborative nature of my work and the chances it brings to travel.
I love visiting new places and meeting new people and have recently returned from an exciting two month adventure on foot from London to South Germany where I was overwhelmed by the kindness of strangers, charmed by the beauty of rural France and spurred on by the physical mission to experience travel at human speed.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've had the privilege over the last couple of years of hosting and being hosted via other friends' couch surfing profiles! From a surfing point of view, I've found it an incredible way to discover new places from the inside out. To meet and stay with locals helps to paint a great picture of what an area is really like. From a hosting point of view, it's great to be able to offer something as simple as accommodation and to share my home with others. I love meeting new people and exchanging stories and ideas. It felt like time to create my own profile!!
Interests
I love a good old natter with friends over great home-cooked food and great local ale!
I love going for long walks in the country side, standing on the top of mountains and feeling small and big at the same time, swimming in rivers and wild camping.
I love the buzz of big cities and get particularly excited in train stations! All these people on the move, all pursuing their adventures!
I love reading , mostly novels and poetry, mostly on trains and in suntraps.

Music, Movies, and Books
My favourite poet is Rilke and I love his letters to a Young Poet.
Books wise, I would cite East of Eden by John Steinbeck and Slowness by Milan Kundera as two of my favourites.
As for music, Bob Dylan seems fitting for most situations! Emmy the Great is the latest acquisition to my list of favourites and joins Nick Cave, The Smiths and Belle and Sebastian.
Movies, it's hard to beat Delicatessen!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Taken part in the world's largest ever simultaneous jump!!!
What I Can Share with Hosts
An openness to get to know them and their world, an exchange of stories and cultures, a knowledge of puppets(!)
