About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to live forever. Failing that, to pack as much life into the next 90 years as I possibly can.

ABOUT ME

I am always happy and often hungry. I love healthy food and moving as quickly as possible. I'm a huge eco-nerd. I spent most of 2012 building my home - a 136-sq-ft, off-grid, ecologically-responsible house-on-wheels that I now live in full time. I love most humans and all animals. I want to learn. Teach me something and I'll love you forever. I sometimes think I am the most fortunate person on the planet.

PHILOSOPHY

You get one body, one mind, and one life. Use them.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd love to meet surfers from all over the world! Due to the size of my home (about the size of a walk-in closet) my 'couch' would be space on the floor with me stepping over you to get to the bathroom, but you are welcome to it!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've only hosted once, and I haven't surfed yet, but all of the people I've met who couchsurf are super amazing, impressive, interesting people. I would like to continue and expand on this trend.

Interests

Sustainable, ecologically responsible architecture and agriculture, health and nutrition, yoga, bicycles, making my home dynamo-powered (don't laugh), solar cooking, baking, reading, and dancing (salsa, bachata, west coast swing, cha cha cha, and the kind that I dance alone in my house when nobody's watching :))

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: anything you can dance to, especially latin music, plus: Radiohead, Florence and the Machine, Woodkid, the Boxer Rebellion, k-pop, Katzenjammer, Socalled - basically everything.

Movies: I have no idea.

Books: Anything and everything. I love Miriam Toews, John Irving, Douglas Coupland, Vonnegut, Palahniuk, The History of Love, Bill Bryson, Pratchett, Gaiman, you name it I'll read it.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach: Salsa and bachata, how to make vegan chocolate, how to eat and exercise so you wake up feeling like you could KICK DOWN A DOOR every morning.

I want to learn: your language, how to cook authentic meals from wherever you are from, how to dance, how to sing, how to do a backflip, how to fix a watch, how to make anything out of anything else, how to be unstoppable.
