ABOUT ME

Officially, I'm an English major with a minor in Social Justice. Unofficially, I have absolutely no idea what I'm going to end up doing with my life. I'm a big fan of being outside in the sun, so way to go Apollo. I have a deep respect for good food and those who cook it. I believe higher math is really just witchcraft and I don't trust people who don't like dogs (joke...kind of). I like to meet people, so if you're one of those, let's talk!

Music, Movies, and Books

My all time favorite book is To Kill A Mockingbird. Close seconds are Harry Potter, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and anything written by Dr. Seuss.

Although I was once in a Backstreet Boys fan club and still appreciate a good 90s pop band, my musical taste has grown to include folk, bluegrass, funk, dubstep, reggae, jazz, and more. I love anything I can dance to :) My current go-to's include Red Hot Chilli Peppers, The Shins, Dave Matthews, Iron & Wine, The Flaming Lips, Bob Dylan, Regina Spektor, JJ Grey & MoFro, Skrillex, Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros, Umphrey's McGee and Simon & Garfunkel. I'm always up for listening to new bands, and always down to give some recommendations as well!

I have a strange but abiding love for really violent movies, like The Departed, Pulp Fiction, Inglorious Bastards, The Godfather (besides the third one, which sucks) and Green Street Hooligans. I also love Star Wars, the Lord of the Rings, Into the Wild, and anything that's good for a laugh.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to:
-tap dance
-play Euchre, as well as a few other card games/tricks
-swear in 3 languages (Spanish, Greek, and American Sign Language) and I know some useful phrases in Greek and Spnaish as well
-blow smoke rings

I'd love to learn how to:
-cook something edible besides pasta
-whistle really loudly
-solve a new riddle
-play a new card game
-raise one eyebrow
-play an instrument
-do a new dance
-knit
-speak a language
-juggle
...or pretty much anything else you can teach me!
