About Me

Hi there, I am a keen traveler who loves to be immersed in local culture. I like to experience places around the world by living, working or studying in the area; to find the hidden gems and explore the unbeaten tracks. I am traveling with my partner, Asher and friend, Maria who share the same values. We all enjoy most things in life - from hiking up mountains, to listening to live music...but also love a good afternoon reading a book in a comfy armchair! We are all University graduates who are are moving to Alice springs to work in the NT gov. Asher and I are currently private carers for a severely disabled teenager, alongside dog walking/sitting. Maria is currently a journalist and also dog walks/sits. We have all been employed as house sitters, so are clean, tidy, respectful individuals in other's homes - and for couch-surfing are very willing to help out with groceries, cooking, cleaning etc..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are young people who love to travel and savvy about money - the less you spend ... the more travelling you can do! We also love to make long standing friends and from this mindset, have friends all over the world - we want to continue this way of seeing the world. We all enjoy exploring the wilderness and learning off other people - couchsurfing seems to allow people to do this easily in other countries.

Music, Movies, and Books

We have a mixture of music, music and book tastes - here are some of my fav music - Tash Sultana, Bowie, Moon Taxi, Aurora, 10CC, The Roving Crows.

Asher is a big movie watcher - The negotiator, Chef,

Maria and I are huge book readers - Some we have just read together on our travels are - 40 rules of love, All the light we cannot see, The invention of wings.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I think the most amazing thing I've done is eaten dinner and played drums with desert nomads and watch the sunrise in the Sahara.

Asher has travelled from the bottom of Africa to the UK in a van - and has some incredible stories!

Maria is always doing something amazing - one is scootering for the first time in Vietnam for 3 days straight!
