Hello I'm Lydie I'm a french illustrator of 25yo and I love to travel and discover things like foods, books, people, animals, plants, and rocks (yes, rocks). I have a special passion for pizzas, ducks, non-sense humor and cacti.
I'm into outdoor stuff like swimming in river and lakes, music festivals, hiking and camping. But I assure you that I'm not a wilding and I'm pretty clean.

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

Since I'm drawing as a full time job, I don't have much money to live and to do expensive travels but I have a huge desire to wander in new places to get inspiration. I come from a moutain region and I'm more used to do camping in the wilds when I want to travel, but to discover cities, Couchsurfing seems to be the good way. I would really like to discover how locals live in a place I don't know a clue about.
I don't own a place to host people at the moment but I'll do my best to host and/or spent time with you if you come by Nantes (France) ! I'm new at Couchsurfing but I definitely want to help in this community.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

Though I listen a lot of various stuff, i'm generally really into indie folk, original soundtracks from movies and video games and a bit of metal. Also everything you can find on a cool dancefloor like psychedelic/psytrance vibes.
I really enjoy Lemony Snicket's and Roald Dahl's books. I'm also a huge Potterhead !
A lot of classics of litterature as well, and a bit of science fiction, if you want to talk about books we're going to have a good time.

Surviving so far as a comics artist in France, it's really quite an adventure especially dealing with the administration.

Enseignez, apprenez, partagez

Though i'm more of a quiet type of person, when I travel I enjoy listen and talk with people, to learn their stories, their life (maybe you'll end up in one of my comics books someday?). I'm always ready to learn yours and to exchange experiences I've had. I also make a lot of stupid jokes. So you got it, I'm more in the introvert way of life, which means I won't be your best crazy party buddy, but I enjoy chatting, sharing stories, board games, videos games (I play a lot, so if it's your thing I'll be more than happy to play at one of your favourite), walking around, museums etc. I'm not fond of crowds or loud places in general (the only exception is for concerts !) but I'm doing better with small groups.

If you like art I can make a little portrait/caricature of you when I come, I love drawing people and I often carry a sketchbook with me, it could be the time for you to get immortalized on paper and an honor for me !
