ABOUT ME

I am a foodie with no kitchen,
a talker with no mate,
a dancer with no coordination,
an artist with no muse.

PHILOSOPHY

Hmm...personal philosophy? Well, I generally go by the philosophy "Cheese is good." though when your lactose intolerant and have that kind of personal philosophy it really doesn't go over well with your internal organs. I also have another philosophy gleened from years of customer service work: "People are stupid." Sounds awful, you say? Well, I suppose your right...but have you worked with the general public lately?

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

At some point I may have a place for someone to stay but at the moment I do not. However, I love people and love to talk so if your in need of some company for coffee or just need directions to the nearest sushi bar then I can deliver!

I haven't really ever couchsurfed before but I am going to be very soon...

Interests

I have frequented swing dancing clubs and love jazz, blues and big band as much as rock, I am a self proclaimed hippy - I make jewelry, I am involved with an anti-slavery/human trafficking organization that helps bring people out of bondage...(ie try to save the world)...I am passionate about ending the war in Northern Uganda and bringing Africa's children home, I love books and science and theology and art.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I participated in "The Rescue", an event in 100 cities in 10 countries around the world. We camped out in parks, on streets, in towns to influence our government to take an active roll in stopping the 23 year war going on in Northern Uganda where children are being abducted and made to become child soldiers. ...and its working.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a member of a group that fights modern day slavery. Did you know that there are 52 people a day...A DAY...trafficked into the United States as slaves? Did you know that human trafficking is fast becoming the largest criminal enterprise over drugs and weapons? Did you know that 50% of human trafficking victims are minors? And we aren't talking about all of them are in there teens...some are as young as 5. There are more people in the world today that are slaves there there were at any other time in human history.
