About Me
Hi there!
I am currently residing in Hobart, Tasmania where I just finished my journalism degree. I have been here a year and I am hoping to stick around this beautiful state for another year.
I was born in Denmark and have lived in Seattle, Washington. I try to travel as much as I can and meet as many new people as possible!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is such a special and unique way to connect with the world and people that I might now have gotten to meet otherwise. I am in awe of hosts who are willing to open up their homes to strangers and I aspire to be more like some of the people I have stayed with!
I would love to host (and be hosted) more, but I also have housemates to be respectful of. However, shoot me a message and I'll see if I can make it happen!
Interests
I love hiking and try to get out as much as I can - especially when there's so much beauty in Tasmania!
I go out for drinks with friends or we cook dinner at home. A good dance in a bar is always fun!

Music, Movies, and Books
There is so much goodness out there! So I can't pick a favorite in either of the categories.
I recently read the Hillbilly Elegy which was really well-written and interesting! The Long Hitch Home was inspiring. Big fan of Harry Potter, chick-lit, drama, historical drama/romance, fantasy, biographies or just books written by people with a passion for something.
I love folk-pop/rock music - that's probably my go-to music. If I need to concentrate I listen to classical music. But who doesn't love a good pop song? or some jazz? or R'n'B?
Used to be a movie-nerd - might still be. But I tend to read rather than watch movies. A good series or movie on Netflix is always a hit though.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hiked a volcano in Vanuatu and swam with a whale in Tonga. Read 100 books in a year.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm quite new to couchsurfing and have only done it twice. But the warmth I experienced from the strangers who let me stay with them was incredible and inspiring! So I definitely want to have more of an open door policy and have people stay with me.
I would love especially love to take you hiking - we are a part of nature and we should protect it as much as possible. I believe the best way to get people to care and take action is to show them the beauty and hopefully they'll fall in love with what they experience and therefor wish to take care of it!
What I Can Share with Hosts
If I have the time, I'll show you some of my favorite places in beautiful Tasmania! If I'm too busy we can just grab a coffee, beer, G&T - what ever poison you prefer - and have a chat.
